About

The Reformation Wall, unveiled in 1909, stands 100 m long in Geneva’s Parc des Bastions and celebrates the leaders of the Protestant Reformation. Set within the historic fortifications of the city, the monument features life‑size statues of William Farel, John Calvin, Theodore Beza, and John Knox at its centre, flanked by figures such as Frederick William of Brandenburg, William the Silent, Roger Williams, Oliver Cromwell, and Stephen Bocskai. The wall also bears the Reformation motto "Post Tenebras Lux" and a Christogram. A stroll along the stone wall offers sweeping views of the surrounding parks and the University of Geneva, making it a short but inspirational visit for history lovers and casual tourists alike.
