Located in the centre of the town of Fribourg in a vaulted 12th century cellar, the Swiss Sewing Machine and Unusual Objects Museum presents pieces from around the world, ranging from the sewing-machine to the iron and the mechanical vacuum cleaner.The museum offers a collection of over 250 sewing machines from the 19th and 20th centuries, used in households but also in the shops of fabric and leather artisans. Rediscover household methods used in Switzerland and elsewhere over the past two centuries.
