We are a modern, eco-friendly hotel-restaurant with a magnificent view of the Gulf of Lugano and the Denti della Vecchia mountains. Our eco-hotel, whose construction was completed in 2005, is in a picturesque corner of Ticino located only a few kilometers from Lugano in Roveredo Capriasca, a typical local village. The green and shady forests, unobstructed views, the fresh air, the fresh water and the mystical beauty of the location invite you to a body and soul relaxing holiday. The Locanda is also an ideal starting point for hiking, biking and other sporting activities. And of course you can start from here excursions in the beautiful region of the Lake of Lugano. Even meditative and spiritual offers are located in the immediate vicinity of the Locanda. The museums, the theater, the concerts, the festivals, the cinemas, the gastronomic offers and the city's nightlife are also only a few kilometers away! Our entire system is geared towards the use and production of renewable energy. A commitment rewarded by the WWF Ticino in 2009 with the recognition of "Il Sole sul Tetto" (sunroof) Award. The central heating plant is working exclusively with wood, the warm water comes from a solar water heater, photovoltaic panels produce the electricity. You can connect via free Wi-Fi inside the guest house and in the garden. We also have, for guests with a lot of luggage and for people with mobility restrictions, a transport service with a electric golf car from the community parking lot to the Locanda.
