The CabriO Stanserhorn-Bahn is a world‑famous attraction in the Swiss Alps that offers a double‑deck cable car, the world’s only Cabrio cable car, which takes visitors from the historic Stans station to the 1,898‑metre summit of the Stanserhorn. As the vehicle glides over the Alpine terrain, guests are treated to sweeping views of ten Swiss lakes, the Black Forest, and the distant Jura mountains. At the summit, a revolving restaurant invites diners to savour alpine cuisine while the panoramic terrace provides a 360° viewing platform. Visitors can also explore the summit’s museum, souvenir shop, and observation decks, as well as stroll around the summit for a leisurely walk that takes about 30 minutes. The CabriO also offers a chance to experience the CabriO cabin’s open‑top deck for breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket office in Stans; for peak periods, a boarding pass is recommended to avoid long waits. Children under six travel for free, while holders of the Swiss Travel Pass, Swiss Half‑Price Card and local public transport passes enjoy free or discounted returns.
