Chalet Ingas is a traditional alpage chalet originally built in 1911 and now beautifully renovated as a family home. Enjoy complete privacy at the foot of the Alps, with stunning views across the valley, directly to the local landmark Dents du Midi mountain range. A large terrace with lawn space and garden allow you space to breathe, with no neighbours except the soft clanging of cow bells. A unique spot to enjoy a hearty breakfast with our home grown eggs before embarking on a day of hiking, sightseeing, or pure relaxation. The chalet is accessible by a 10-15 minute walk up a mountain path, so backpacks and good shoes are recommended, particularly in winter. Cars are left in a public parking space at the bottom of the hill. Enjoy the complete tranquility of no traffic or neighbours - just the local wildlife! With just the one room available, you will be the sole guests, so apart from your host, you will have complete privacy. If you have surplus luggage, your host can drive you and your belongings up and down in the 4x4 at a small surcharge (snow conditions permitting). There are no kitchen facilities available to guests, but a meal of raclette or spaghetti bolognaise with salad (Sfr 22/head) is available with 24 hours' notice. (The bolognaise sauce has been compared to an Italian grandmother's!) Alternatively, guests are welcome to make a picnic at the dining room table or use the BBQ (snow conditions permitting). Alcoholic beverages also available. Or just jump back in the car for a few minutes to enjoy the local alpage restaurants throughout the famous Portes du Soleil region. Hope to welcome you soon!
