Kandersteg International Scout Centre is the World Scout Centre offering accommodation, ( catering and programme to guests. Our Hostel – Like accommodation is run by an international team of volunteers throughout the year. We offer indoor and outdoor accommodation, catering and self-catering options as well as guided and un-guided programme opportunities. Create your own perfect stay with us! The Language of operation is English, with a varying pool of language being spoken amongst the Staff team. The Centre opened its doors in 1923, founded as the dream of Lord-Baden Powell (founder of the Scout Movement) for Scouts to have a place to meet, live together and learn from each other. Located in the heart of the Swiss Alps, there are a million opportunities for your outdoor adventure! As the Centre is following the Scouting Method, we encourage leadership and ownership and therefore kindly ask our guests to help us tidy up after their stay.
