There is a lot to experience at Walter Zoo in Gossau SG in eastern Switzerland. 900 animals from around 100 species can be observed - lions, chimpanzees, tigers, red pandas, otters, meerkats, flamingos, parrots and many more. You can learn exciting and interesting facts about the animal world at lectures, daily animal activities and feedings and in the zoo school. The nature trail, the petting meadow and numerous playgrounds round off the offer. You can fortify yourself in the zoo restaurant at various catering stations. Barbecue and picnic areas are also available.
