About

A remarkable little museum! Discover two exhibitions under one roof: The DIORAMA houses the private mineral collection of the Dr. Adelrich Eberle from Einsiedeln: 1,200 eye-catching pieces from all over the world, from Alpine quartz to magnificent crystals from South America and China. A special feature is our fluorescence cabinet: In ultraviolet light some minerals, which are rather inconspicuous in daylight, reveal a fantastic, undreamt-of splendour of colour. Our famous nativity scene in the same house enchants with over 450 hand-carved figures on 80 m2. The magnificent figures are almost 100 years old. A crib? - Yes! What makes it unique is the attention to detail: the almost lifelike figures, the clothing, architecture, the large water wheel, hand mills and plough show the town of Bethlehem in a geographically absolutely lifelike landscape. Changing exhibitions on “Special Objects”. Special offers for groups and schools. Museum shop and small visitor café.
