Harbour House, a spacious, stone-built holiday cottage, is conveniently located in the quiet village of Motherby on the Lake District fringes with Keswick and Ullswater both 15 min by car. Sleeps 4: Dog friendly - and the local pub in Greystoke welcomes them too! Two bedrooms - king size bed in the main bedroom and twin beds in the second Two bathrooms - one upstairs and a downstairs wet room Lounge with woodburning stove Dining kitchen Oil fired central heating Wi-fi Outside: Parking for two cars and an enclosed south-facing garden with delightful views and garden furniture. Harbour House is entered from the rear, through a porch and utility area, which houses the washing machine and with space for coats and boots. Off this area is the recently fitted wet-room with a shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin. The kitchen is well equipped, with an electric double oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. There are also some little “extras” to make your stay more comfortable - an espresso coffee maker, slow cooker and bread maker. The centrepiece of the spacious sitting room is a sandstone fireplace with woodburner. A large flat screen TV with Roku box for catch-up, blu-ray player, wi-fi router and a supply of games are provided. The sitting room's view across fields to the rear can be enjoyed from an additional drop-leaf table and 2 chairs placed by the window. Upstairs are two bedrooms both looking out over the fields behind the cottage, one double with a king-sized bed and the other with twin beds. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, toilet and handbasin. Outside is an attractive garden with a southerly aspect enclosed by a low stone wall (please note if you have a small child that there is a 3ft drop down to the field at the rear) and a summerhouse. A table and 4 chairs are provided so guests can enjoy the extensive views across the fields and farmland to the Pennines to the east and the fells beyond Ullswater to the south-west. There is a pub which welcome dogs - The Boot and Shoe - and a village shop in Greystoke (1.5ml) An initial supply of wood is provided, further supplies are available from the woodshed, please put £5 into the honesty box. A garage is available for the storage of bikes on request. One dog is welcome, at an additional cost of £15 per booking, but please note that dogs must not be allowed on the furniture and or left alone in the cottage.
