Located on the coast of the beautiful of Isle of Anglesey, Bod Hyfryd (“Beautiful dwelling”) is a house with a fascinating history….a former Captains House, it was built for Captain Ishmael Williams in 1874; He was the master of a locally made 3 masted schooner called “The Gaelic”, which regularly sailed from Amlwch Port to South America and beyond. Today it has been lovingly restored, but still retains a lot of the original features, including roof timbers reclaimed from old ships. At present, we have two double rooms, with exclusive use of our recently installed luxury shower room. Schooner is tastefully decorated in a nautical theme, whilst Rivendell has a relaxed luxurious ambience with embossed wallcovering, hotel style padded headboard and local artwork. Our beds have sumptuous pure down mattress toppers, quality cotton bedding and cosy feather & down duvets. You are guaranteed peace & quiet, and a warm welcome from your hosts, Julie & Pete
