The best time to climb Cader Idris is late spring to early autumn. From May to mid‑September the weather is stable, trails are clear, and views of the Mawddach Estuary are spectacular. If you prefer fewer crowds, aim for mid‑May or late‑September when the sunshine is still warm but the peaks are less busy.
