Crossways Holiday Cottages
About
Exmoor Cottage sleeps four people, with one double bedroom and two small singles. Exmoor Cottage is one of two self-catering holiday cottages at Crossways Holiday Cottages, North Devon. A luxury barn conversion, this holiday cottage is ideally situated in North Devon for easy access to Exmoor, Dartmoor and the beautiful North Devon beaches from Bideford to Ilfracombe. We welcome guests with children and are dog friendly too! We welcome one well-behaved pet per cottage. It may be possible to accept two dogs but please contact us first so that we can co-ordinate the doggy population here with the other holiday cottage! We do ask that dogs do not go upstairs or on any of the furniture. We provide a stairgate to help with this and can supply a throw. We do also request that pets are not left alone in the holiday cottages as they can sometimes become distressed and could cause damage or disturb guests in the neighbouring cottage. There is a special bin in the garden for doggy bags and a small paddock where they can run around. Both the garden and the paddock are securely fenced with wooden post and rail fencing with wire stock fencing along the bottom rail. We can recommend an excellent kennels nearby that runs a day creche for dogs if you are really stuck. We have used them ourselves and so are happy to recommend them. Our guests love the small securely fenced paddock behind the guests garden which is ideal for ball games for children or dogs! Set in the heart of Tarka country, it makes the perfect rural retreat for those wishing to explore Exmoor, Dartmoor, cycle the Tarka Trail or head to one of the beautiful sandy beaches many of which are dog friendly too. We are ideally situated for loads of attractions in Devon and most of the local pubs welcome dogs too. Relax and enjoy the rural atmosphere and stunning views on our own North Devon hillside. The far reaching views across the valley to Exmoor are stunning and the sunsets and sunrises here are simply breath-taking. We provide barbecues and utensils and can even supply locally sourced charcoal! For those astronomers who like to do a little stargazing, we are situated on the edge of one of the darkest areas in the country with very little light pollution, so bring your telescopes!
