About

A traditional, quaint, well-stocked village shop situated within very easy reach of the A30 and A303, north of Winchester. Barton Stacey Stores was founded in 1810, and parts of the building survived the devastating 'Great Fire of Barton Stacey'. A great place to start your local ramble across Postman's Walk or up 'Moonlight', get your lunch before a day's fishing at one of the local well respected trout lakes, or pop in after visiting our 1,000 year old parish church. Choose from a good range of sandwiches, savouries, biscuits and cakes, and grab a take-away tea, coffee or ice cream. Browse for a gift or beautiful greeting card (some by local artists); and before leaving for home stock up on gourmet ready meals, locally blended coffees, and award-winning locally distilled gins. Or just pick up a few household essentials and a couple of bottles of beer. The store's integral Post Office is the place to do your banking, withdraw cash, send a postcard or order your travel money.
