The Barber Institute of Fine Arts, situated on the University of Birmingham campus in Edgbaston, has re‑opened on 22 June 2024 after a 12‑month refurbishment. A second phase of renovations will resume on 26 January 2025, with a full reopening slated for 2026. The Grade‑I listed Art‑Deco building now hosts a world‑class collection, including Impressionist masterpieces by Monet and Van Gogh, significant works by Rubens and Gainsborough, and one of the world’s largest coin collections. Visitors can also enjoy regular concerts in the venue’s magnificent hall, offering a unique blend of visual and performing arts.
