Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery
About
Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery (BMAG) is a stunning Grade II* listed landmark that has watched over Birmingham’s Chamberlain and Victoria Squares since 1885. Situated at Chamberlain Square, BMAG boasts an ever‑growing collection of fine art, ceramics, metalwork, jewellery, natural history, archaeology, ethnography, local and industrial history. The museum reopened in October 2024 after extensive restoration work, and is now open Monday‑Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm, with free general admission (donations welcome). Visitors can explore the Pre‑Raphaelites Galleries, the world‑famous Staffordshire Hoard Gallery, the Birmingham History Galleries, the iconic Round Room, and the newly created family‑friendly Wild City area, alongside a tearoom and a museum shop.
