Byzantium restaurant is nestled in the bohemian side streets of Kings Heath. We specialise in tapas and mezze from across the Mediterranean. Not just Spanish, our chefs' take inspiration from Spain, Italy, Morroco, Greece and more. All of the food at Byzantium is made fresh on the day and we are proud to source our ingredients from local suppliers across the Midlands. Byzantium's food is popular across south Birmingham and our relaxed atmosphere is set off by our simple deocr of wooden tables and church pews. Byzantium tries to reflect the food we serve, creating a convivial atmosphere of sharing and conversation - we aspire to create food that gets people talking. We recommend starting your dinner with us, with some of our homemade Mediterranean flatbread and a selection of dips. After that it's about picking a choice of tapas that suits you - from our Moroccan Chicken Tagine to our Gambas Al Pernod and classic Patatas Bravas there's something for everyone to enjoy.Building on the wonderful reputation we have, we'll be adding regular specials to our menu based on the best seasonal produce available.Byzantium's wine list covers all tastes and budgets and is designed to complement the wide range of food you'll be experiencing when you visit us. We also have a wide selection of Spumante cocktails - perfect for adding a bit of fizz to your evening. In the future Byzantium will be serving and selling our own range of olives, olive oil, biscuits, tapenade and an amazing range of flavoured cocktails.
