About

Installed under mysterious circumstances 15 years ago, the bench pays tribute to the former Lord Mayor Of Pheasey. Situated in parkland adjoining the site of his former primary school, it offers a peaceful place to sit and think about the life of the disgraced former Mayor, or just to kick back, can up, and wrestle with the melody that possesses you, just as he did all those years ago. This understated tribute ensures that his memory lives on, as does he, but over on the other side of Birmingham. Occasional guided tours are given (Booking Essential - £10) where the great man himself will regale you with anecdotes, such as the time when a council worker replaced the rotten plank on which the plaque was originally affixed, and reinstalled it on a new plank.
