Lickey Hills Country Park

A popular country park located just 10 miles southwest of Birmingham, Lickey Hills covers 524 acres of woodland, heathland and grassland. The park offers a variety of trails ranging from 1.8 to 5.6 miles, plenty of wildlife spotting opportunities, and a famous viewpoint on Beacon Hill with expansive views of the surrounding countryside. The Visitor Centre on Warren Lane is open daily from 10am to 4:20pm in winter (until 5:50pm in summer) and houses the park rangers, an information desk, a café (closed from July 2024) and handy facilities for families. Whether you’re a casual walker, a school group or a nature enthusiast, Lickey Hills provides a peaceful escape with rich geological and cultural history highlighted by the nearby Lickey Incline.
