The Glee Club
About
The Glee Club is a flagship chain of comedy and live‑music venues that has become the epicentre of the UK’s stand‑up scene outside London. Since its first opening in Birmingham’s iconic Chinese Quarter in 1994, the club has expanded to Cardiff, Oxford, Nottingham and Glasgow, each location boasting a distinctive mix of theatre‑style seating and energetic bars. With a main room capacity of 420 in Birmingham and up to 800 standing in Glasgow, guests enjoy three‑act comedy nights, themed shows such as Comedy Carousel and Rough Works, and even drag and music performances. Over the years the club has hosted legends such as Jack Dee, Peter Kay, Lee Mack and Adele, and has been repeatedly honoured with Chortle and What’s On Readers’ Awards for best venue and best comedy night. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed evening of stand‑up, a high‑energy drag performance or a live‑music gig, The Glee Club offers a lively, inclusive atmosphere that keeps audiences coming back.
