The Staffordshire Regiment Museum
About
A 'family friendly' military museum, showing the 300+ year history of the local regiment. Uniforms & weapons displays, mannequins, vehicles, Regimental militaria and interactive displays. Explore a full sized WWI trench system or take cover in our air raid shelter and experience 'The Blitz'. Younger visitors can play on our unique 'Warrior' armoured vehicle themed, children's playground. Free parking on site and the local bus service is accessed directly outside the museum gate. Dogs are welcome in the museum grounds but not permitted indoors, other than assistance dogs or the Regimental Association mascot - 'Watchman'. There is an outdoor tap and dog bowl available for thirsty 'four legged friends'. The Trench system is accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs. There is a ramp to enter the museum gallery at the side of the building. Most outdoor areas are accessible with limited steps and raised thresholds. There are audio description points around the site to listen to stories.
