Bank Hall: a Jacobean manor house in Bretherton Lancashire. Built: 1608 on the site of an earlier house and extended in 1832-33. Home to many influential families over the years and the British Army Movement Control Headquarters during WWII. Derelict and gradually became a ruin from 1972. Campaign: c1995 Restored: 2017-2021 Now the Heritage Trust for the North West and Friends of Bank Hall are sharing the stories and slowly restoring the gardens… visit us to find out more!
