Fairhaven United Reformed Church (The White Church)

The White Church is a unique building just a couple of minutes from Granny's Bay, Fairhaven Lake and the RSPB shop. The Church was formed as Fairhaven started to grow in the early 1900's and the at Lytham saw the potential for setting up a new Church in the area and on 4th May 1904, Fairhaven Congregational Church (now Fairhaven URC) was opened in what is now the Church Hall. Fund raising continued and gradually work progressed on the main Church Building, known locally as the 'White Church' because of the white faced tiles used in it's construction and the grand opening was held on 17th October 1912. The Church is Byzantine in style and attracts many visitors who come to admire the building and its beautiful windows. The Church is open to visitors Thursday and Sunday afternoons; you can also visit the Church during the Thursday morning Coffee morning that starts at 10.30 am (the bacon barms are highly recommended) and, of course, you're also very welcome to join us for Sunday morning worship starting at 10.45 am.
