The lal qila takeaway was established in Southport in 1985 by Abul Kashem. He started off as a chef at various restaurants and takeaways nationwide. The name Lal Qila was as it represents the famous Red Fort in India which is visited by tourists worldwide. Many are familiar with the name as it is widely known in the UK and therefore has been able to build a reputation in the town of Southport.
