Southport Model Railway Village is a unique attraction located in the heart of Southport’s seaside promenade, offering a charming 1.5‑acre miniature landscape in 1:18 scale. Visitors of all ages can wander through a meticulously crafted garden railway system that spans 500 metres of 45 mm G‑gauge track, complete with model railway stations, a windmill, a watermill, and a castle. The village’s gentle, accessible layout features benches, a tea garden, and a nearby waterway that connects two natural ponds, making it a tranquil spot for families and nature lovers. The site is designed for universal access, with wheelchair‑friendly paths and accessible toilet facilities. Open every day of the 2025 season (May 3 – September 28) from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm, with last admissions at 4:00 pm. Though temporarily closed until Easter 2026, the attraction remains the largest display of its kind in the UK and is celebrated for its blend of model engineering and scenic beauty. With a modest £6.50 entry fee for adults, families can enjoy a variety of ticket options, including child, senior, and special family passes. Additional amenities such as hot drinks, ice creams, and various snacks are available at the main entrance, and visitors are welcomed to bring their own picnic to a selection of outdoor tables.
