The Jamaica Inn is a historic coaching inn that has stood beside the A30 road in the village of Bolventor, Cornwall since 1547. The grand 2‑storey building survived the 2017 national fire‑strike thanks to a swift evacuation plan, and today it is a tourist landmark as well as a fully‑operational hotel and restaurant. The inn’s iconic façade, with its stonework and thatched roof, has been immortalised by the famous novel *The Jamaica Inn* by Daphne du Maurier, which set the inn as the backdrop for a tale of smugglers, betrayal and ghostly apparitions. Guests can explore 36 individually‑designed rooms, including the legendary “haunted” rooms, and enjoy the on‑site restaurant, which serves seasonal British cuisine and a full bar featuring local ales and premium spirits.
