We're not really a B&B and we're not really a hotel - we are a unique 5-room luxury boutique country stay with the facilities of a 5-star hotel but the atmosphere of staying with friends in the country. Gold medal winner of the VisitEngland Award for Excellence 2023 as Best B&B and Guest House of the Year. All rooms are en-suite with power showers (and deep baths where applicable) super king beds, A/C, flat screen large smart TVs, coffee and tea making facilities along with a safe, hairdryer, mini-fridge, iron/ironing board and include a full luxury breakfast. We hold a 5-star rating for food hygiene and are proud to have been awarded Trip Advisor's prestigious Travellers Choice award for 2021 and 2022 putting us in the top 10% in the world. Piglets has a licenced honesty bar putting many a pub to shame with over 50 gins, 18 house wines, beers, cocktails and other spirits. We offer evening dining al-fresco on our Mediterranean-style patio if weather allows or inside in our dining room, with pastas, pizzas and deli boards on the home-cooked menu. Guests have their own sitting room and access to both our Mediterranean patio and our eco-natural swimming pond, extensive games room with full-size snooker, table tennis, Foosball and darts as well as luxury board games in the guest lounge. We also have a competition-size Péntanque piste where one can enjoy a smoke on our French patio or in our Havana Cabana which has a radio and velvet cushions for your comfort. There is an infra-red sauna and also a Croquet lawn. We have a bike shed to store your precious bikes and more walks than any other parish in Essex starting right from our door across the fields. With only 5 bubble Trip Advisor reviews since we started, we must be doing something right!
