TEMPORARILY CLOSED - This is the last fort of its kind and has a varied history from defence, to its attachment with the charge of the light brigade, to being the first film studio. Come and visit on our open days or events, for a guided tour or a cup of tea or cake from Food For Fort. Although temporarily closed to the public, if you’d like to join us and volunteer on one of our regular work days, meet new people and make a difference to this unique national asset then please do get in touch because any help would be appreciated.
