The Ceramic House

The Ceramic House offers unique accommodation and a rare chance to experience staying in a living artwork! We welcome visitors from all around the world for short stays and visits, ranging from one night to several months. We have four rooms available for rent, two en suite and two share a bathroom. All the bathrooms are tiled with hand-made tiles and are part of The Ceramic House permanent installations. All the rooms can accommodate two people. Each May, as part of Artists Open Houses during the Brighton Festival, The Ceramic House transforms into a pop-up gallery and opens to the public. Each year founder Kay Aplin curates a themed exhibition of contemporary ceramics and invites a selection of leading ceramic artists to display their work in the context of her own installations, offering a unique overview of contemporary ceramic practice.
