The Dorset is partly still an old classic Brighton pub with a restaurant attached. Situated in the heart of the city's North Laine district, it is at the very heart of all things Brighton and with our outside seating, there is no better spot to sit, relax and watch the world go by. Our food is awesome but never pretentious and always best to make a reservation. Our selection of drinks is pretty much never-ending as everyone is always welcome at The Dorset. #noshameindrinkingcoffeeinapub. Since 1845, we've been serving food and drink to locals. In the naughty nineties we were frequented by journalists and newspaper staff from the nearby Evening Argus. In 2019 the change in the character of our pub from a working environment to a part of Brighton's social society is indicative of the change that has taken place in the larger area of the North Laine. So for coffee, tea, drinks, food or entertainment, come along and say hello.
