The Late Lounge
About
The Late Lounge cocktail bar in Brighton's city centre was born out of an ex-nightclub manager's dawning realisation: that the only late night/early morning clubbing he and his fellow industry peers conducted were only ever unenthusiastic and reluctant attempts to find somewhere to have a drink and to stay warm. This may be a statement with resounding familiarity; a nocturnal lifestyle with such an adjusted sleeping pattern leaves you missing out on those couple of pints of beer after work. It now comes to you in the form of a cheap vodka mixer; in a sticky, sweating, and generally unpleasant nightclub an hour before closing, gazing wondrously at the state of the world we live in after it has had a few drinks. Thus, the role call for cosy Chesterfields, roaring fires, strong cocktails and a superior selection of booze and chilled House comes into effect, and when you've had enough of the plights of drunken Britain, it is time to head to The Late Lounge, 14 Ship Street- bang in the middle of the Old Lanes. With a license until 5am on weekends, and various drink deals during the week, (Tuesday's boasting the best 'Two for One Cocktails' in the city), this tranquil and inviting bar may just be the definitive saviour of Brighton's social scene. So come pay us a visit and grab a few cocktails!
