Thieves Kitchen
About
Thieves’ Kitchen, situated in the centre of Worthing, West Sussex, draws on a rich 19th‑century heritage. The pub occupies two adjoining Grade II listed buildings – the former Roberts & Son wine merchants premises in a Greek‑Revival style, and the former Wesleyan Methodist chapel (Bedford Hall) in refined Neoclassical design. Opened in the late 20th century as a public house, it has become a local favourite, offering a wide selection of beers, wines, traditional pub fare, live sports screens, a dog‑friendly beer garden and a functional room within the old chapel. The building’s distinctive iron balconies, polished brickwork and historical character make it a charming example of Victorian architecture in a vibrant, community‑centric setting.
