The holiday cottage is situated overlooking the moat of Newtimber Place, a beautiful 17th Century manor house within the South Downs National Park. It has extensive views of the Downs and is in a rural location, yet is within easy reach of Brighton and Hove (8 miles). Children and walkers welcome. The cottage sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms - one king and one twin. The cottage is on one level with underfloor heating, the heat being drawn from the adjoining field by a heat pump. The cottage shares a garden with the adjoining holiday cottage. Each has its own table and chairs under a pegoda. The garden is fenced, but small children would have to be supervised as there is deep water the other side of the fence. It was been awarded 4 Star Gold by the AA for 2021. The cottage was originally the stables.The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room (no WC); the twin bedroom has an adjoining bathroom with a shower over the bath. There is a fully fitted kitchen with the usual appliances including freezer, microwave, washer/dryer machine and dishwasher. There is parking for 2 cars and 2 cycle-racks (not covered). An EV charger is available for charging EV cars but there is a charge for units used due to high electric charges.
