The Anchor Inn
About
Fif and Ann Buckingham bought this 16th Century Hotel in August 2019 when the building was in need of some serious love and attention, as was the reputation of its services. A complete refurbishment programme was initiated, which has led to high-class accommodation and a growing reputation for food and drink. The intention is to become known for vegetarian and vegan food as well as cask-conditioned real ales. Breakfast is included with room bookings and food is served in the restaurant every day of the week. The ethos of the establishment is to provide a stimulating, creative, and welcoming place for people to go where everyone is equal. The owners welcome all visitors to Hartland Peninsula's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and are happy to give walkers a lift to and from the nearby coastal path if required. Free parking is available onsite and local buses are available to Bideford and Bude. Please note, hair dryers are not provided in the rooms but are available on request.
