About
Barnhamcross Common has 70 hectares of classic Brecks heathland to explore. There is a wide variety of soil types, with bands of chalk and sand, flint-rich gravels and a peat-rich marsh near the river Little Ouse. The plant life reflects this diversity, with stripes of different wildflowers clearly visible in summer. Several nationally rare plants live here.
