Set in beautiful Essex countryside, the carefully preserved farm buildings at Blake House Craft Centre are centered around a courtyard, which was previously the Blake House farmyard. Wander around the fine variety of shops and small businesses in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, where there really is something for everyone. With hand crafted gifts from independent local artisans, beautiful photography in the gallery and Art Nouveau inspired pieces from Douglas Payne Designs. Find hand painted furniture from The Paint Barn and everything in miniature at Lin's Little Dolls House Shop. There are pet supplies, a pagan shop and all the bike gear you could need and much more besides! When you have finished looking around the shops, make sure you visit the tea rooms for a delicious piece of cake or enjoy a light lunch. During your visit, look out for the peacocks around the centre and there is a small outdoor play area for the children to use up some energy before you leave.
