The sandwich shop known as CD's Sandwich Bar, which is located in the middle of Braintree Town, was initially opened for business in November of 1999. It was founded by Chris and Dave, who managed the sandwich shop for a number of years before passing the reins to their daughter. The owners of the business came to the conclusion in 2023 that they had produced one too many tuna and mayonnaise sandwiches. As a result, they made the decision to transfer the responsibility for the company's reputation and the business as a whole to the new owner, Tony.
