The Hay Barn is set on a quiet road in open, arable farmland. It's a great place for a family holiday or weekend break and your pets are welcome! The relaxing and peaceful setting will help to recharge your batteries and there's lots to do without leaving the barns including cycling, lawn games, play area with swings, slide and climbing frame, feed the chickens and lovely walks. Then finish off the day with a soak in the hot tub and BBQ . Please enquire to add the hot tub to your stay. One of four barns, collectively known as Jepcrack's Barn Self Catering. We have a one bedroom barn, two three bedroom barns and a four bedroom barn, all with en-suite or separate bathrooms. They be rented separately or collectively for up to 31 guests. From a quiet relaxing break or a mixture of quiet times and fun activities, we have a plan to suit you! Choose from a range of beauty treatments from professional therapists, Belly dancing (or other types) of dancing lessons, an Italian meal with wine tasting and pasta making. Ideal for a quiet weekend where you can stay local and enjoy the shops, boutiques, coffee shops, bars and restaurants in Maldon, or liven it up with an evening in Brentwood and Chelmsford which are within a 30 minute drive. Limousine companies are available locally. The Shire Stables has a hot tub and is idea for 9 guests but can accommodate up to 11. Add one or more of our other barns for additional guests. WEDDINGS We are conveniently situated near the wedding venues of Captains Wood Barns,. Forrester Park, Faulty Manor, Braxted Park, Layer Marney Tower and Five Lakes. PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR MORE INFORMATION. A quiet location where you can hear birdsong rather than traffic notice, but just a 10 minute walk to pubs, restaurant and village shop. Maldon town less than 10 minutes drive. Free off street parking. THE HAY BARN Bookings do not include the hot tub. We can add the hot tub and hot tub towels to your booking for an additional fee. Please enquire. The hot tub is in the private rear garden overlooking fields. We provide quality bedding and linen, bath sheets, hand towels and hot tub towels. If you would like to rent the barn with the hot tub, please contact me. There are three bedrooms, sleeping 6 guests. The sofa bed and fold away bed are also available for additional guests. Upstairs the master bedroom is spacious and has generous wardrobe space, a full length mirror and a hairdryer. The en - suite has a bath with shower above . A large singlefoldaway bed can be set up in this room for additional guests. (Additional fee applicable for bedding, linen, towels.) On the ground floor are two bedrooms, one is a double and the other can be set up as a twin or super king size. Both rooms have full length mirrors, drawers, hanging space and en-suites with shower cubicles. Two additional guests can sleep on the double sized sofa bed. (Additional fee applicable for bedding, linen, towels.) The living area has a huge brick fireplace with a wood burning stove and vaulted ceiling. There are comfortable leather sofas. A long wooden dining table and seating for 8 (plus a high chair if needed) make this an ideal place for a special dining experience. The kitchen is equipped to a high standard with a fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The breakfast bar makes the kitchen area the hub of the barn. There is an additional WC on the ground floor. OUTSIDE The back barn doors open out onto a garden, patio and BBQ area which overlooks arable farmland with lovely sunsets. There is a garden table, outdoor seating for 9 and additional sun chairs. There is a coal BBQ (coal not supplied) and utensils. The hot tub is to be next to the patio overlooking the fields. The secluded garden area at the rear is perfect for alfresco dining or evening drinks while watching the sun go down. You may be lucky and catch sight of Muntjack deer or owls and it is a great spot for bird watching. There are no street lights, so for those who enjoy star gazing, bring your binoculars or telescope. At the front there is a large lawned area and private off road parking. We have bikes available to explore the area. The roads around the barn are quiet and flat, so easy to cycle. For younger guests there is a climbing frame with swings and slides. WHAT WE SUPPLY Bedding, linen, bath sheets and hand towels, hot tub towels for guests in barns with hot tub rentals, bath mats and tea towels are included. We also supply toilet rolls, cleaning products, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid. During cooler months, a basket of logs and initial supply of fire lighters are supplied.
