A traditional country village pub/restaurant situated in the picturesque village of Writtle, offering real ale an extensive selection of lagers and wines. We are open 7 days a week serving food everyday, offering homemade food offering oap and children options and serving the best Sunday Roast every Sunday with choice of 3 meats. we are a dog friendly and children friendly pub/restaurant with televisions showing sports at one end and a restaurant at the other end. We have a large carpark for easy access and have a spacious garden for those summer months, with a bouncy castle to keep the little ones entertained. Also on offer at the Rose & Crown we have a upstairs function room which is for hire for parties, wakes, christenings, meetings or family get togethers.
