The Green Man is a real gem of a pub in the English countryside, situated in the ancient village of Toot Hill, Essex. Owned and run by parters Lee Wright & Tracey Watts and managed by Nikolaus Greig. Having recently taken over the running of The Green Man the team are bringing this country pub back to its routes. Concentrating on great food, traditional ales and a warm friendly atmosphere. We also boast a small cocktail list and a great selection of beers. The Green Man is family & animal friendly, featuring a childrens play are, large outside covered courtyard terrace and ample car parking at rear of building. We are popular with walkers, cyclists, horse riders alike who love to stop for a cold beverage and lunch and of which many clubs choose to make us their stop off point on their journeys. The Green Man is close to excellent golf courses. We pride ourselves as an ideal place to relax for locals, diners, wedding parties, birthday parties and other gatherings. As well as offering a fantastic courtyard restaurant for a wonderful dining experience we can cater for all sizes of parties with a made to measure service to satisfy the most discerning of requirements. The Green man hosts regular live music evenings which can be found listed on out Twitter page, Facebook and website. We welcome you to join us on these free entry nights where you can enjoy some of the best local talents singing anything from blues, jazz swing to contemporary modern music. The Green Man offers a large selection of dining options ranging from small bar snacks, to full formal dinner with a great wine selection hand picked by our in house sommelier Nik, formerly of Marco Pierre White restaurant group. Our chef Darren Andrews creates an international menu with influences on locally sourced and English classics.
