Our lively pub is right next door to the train station in this colourful Essex market town - one visit to and we guarantee you'll want to book a return. Travellers have been coming to Chelmsford for its lively market since King John kindly said back in 1199 that we could have one. Our cosy pub isn't quite that old, but we reckon we've been refreshing townsfolk and visitors alike since at least 1842.
