Beaumont House
About
Beaumont House is a 14 bedroom guesthouse with free parking and electric vehicle charging points. It was the home of the Read family in the 1880s. On the 27th October 1884 Anketell Moutray Read was born in Beaumont House, the youngest son of Colonel John Moutray Read. Anketell Read was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in The Gloucestershire Regiment on 21st November 1903. He served in India. He was 30 years old, and a Captain in the 1st Battalion, The Northamptonshire Regiment, British Army during the First World War when he was awarded the Victoria Cross. The hotel operates in a very modern way via a self check-in kiosk, with a duty manager contactable at all times. We don't offer a breakfast service, but do provide complimentary cereal bars, juice and takeaway tea or coffee- super simple and very tasty! But as we are minutes from Bath Road, guests are spoilt for choice for places for breakfast/brunch.
