The Canteen is a bakery and cafe with a stunning courtyard, all quirky and interesting, with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. All food is cooked from scratch, using the most local ingredients possible, and is child and dog friendly. Situated at the back of the fabulous Domestic Science shop, right in the middle of Nailsworth, it is tucked away but always busy. A hidden gem! Lots of choice on the old-favourites menu and the ever-changing specials board, many of the menu items are gluten free, especially the home made cakes, and there are plenty of vegan choices too. The cake table is groaning with delicious goodies such as chocolate brownie, tiffin and bakewell tart, all home made at The Canteen. Our coffee is bought from Cirencester's delicious Rave Coffee, and we also sell other types of drinks such as matcha or turmeric lattes. The whole place has a great atmosphere, for young and old alike, and we also open some evenings. Some eight years old, we have become a wel established cafe.
