Snugburys is a charming family‑run ice‑cream factory and factory‑shop nestled on Park Farm in Hurleston, near Nantwich in Cheshire. Since its founding in 1986, the Sadler family has transformed a dairy farm into a prolific scoop‑shop that churns out more than 35 flavours ranging from classic chocolate and vanilla to adventurous options like damson, sloe gin and toffee crumb. Visitors can sample the creamy treats right on the farm trail, or take a taste on one of the fleet of ice‑cream vans on the surrounding roads. Beyond the sweet treats, Snugburys has turned into a seasonal attraction with its world‑famous straw sculptures. Starting in 1998, the artist‑engineer team began crafting giant steel‑reinforced straw figures that parade the canal. Sculptures have welcomed world‑record, bronze‑winning Daleks, the Windmill, the Big Ben and the more recent Paddington Bear. Each piece doubles as a fundraiser for local charities, and the displays provide a colourful backdrop for visitors’ selfies and family photos. The factory‑shop is open daily from 09:30 to 18:00, offering a relaxed environment for picnics and strolls along the river.
