Cafe Opening Times Open Every Day - Except Tuesday - Open From 9.30 am - 2 pm Indoor Museum Opening Times Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - 10 am until 1 pm. Sunday - 10 am until 1.30pm (last entry) Nature Reserve open all day, everday. Pleasley Pit is a former coal mine in England that is now a heritage site and a museum. It was opened in 1873 and closed in 1983. It is run by the Pleasley Pit Trust, a charity that preserves the history and nature of the site. You can visit the site and see the original steam engines, winding gear, and mining equipment. You can also enjoy the cafe, shop, and nature reserve. Pleasley Pit is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and has won awards for its restoration and make an excellent tourist attraction.
