Our Colchester Northern Gateway hotel is situated conveniently on the doorstep of Colchester United Football Club, just a short journey away from the town centre. With a whirlwind of history and architecture, Colchester is perfect for any history lover. Visit the famed Colchester Castle and grounds, as well as the Roman Town Houses and Duncan’s Gate. If you’re visiting for a more cultural experience, why not visit one of the town’s many theatres and art centres such as the Colchester Arts Centre or Mercury Theatre? It’s also a short 20-minute car ride away from Colchester Zoo, the largest zoo attraction in the UK. There is no Travelodge parking at the hotel, guest parking is available at the Colchester Northern Gateway Leisure Park multi-story car park which is located a few minutes walk from the hotel. Please note this parking is chargeable via the Parkonomy app, we would advise guests to download the app before arrival due to limited phone signal in and around the hotel.
