Y Capel (‘The Chapel’) is a boutique guest house in the heart of the medieval Conwy walls, a sister property for the neighbouring pub The Erskine Arms. Y Capel offers eleven stunning yet homely guest bedrooms. As the name might suggest, the rooms are found within a stunning 19th century chapel and outbuildings retaining many of the original features of those structures including the baptismal pool that can be seen through the floor of the entrance, the original pitch pine roof timbers, the stone set windows and the elaborate front façade. We wanted to keep the building as original as we could in appearance but ensuring that it met with what guests would be expecting from modern comfortable accommodation. Being right in the centre of Conwy means that we are only a few yards from all that Conwy has to offer. It also gives some of the first floor rooms interesting views out over roof tops to the Castle and beyond.
