Ryton Organic Gardens is the home of national charity, Garden Organic. Our demonstration garden is now open for pre-booked tours throughout the summer up to October. Set within an acre, our organic garden is split into a number of different areas; the main part of the garden is a large four-bed vegetable garden, surrounding a glasshouse. We also have a container garden, ornamental garden showing planting for different conditions (including full and partial sun) and several biodiversity-friendly ponds. Visitors to Ryton Gardens will be able to see all the key organic methods in practice, including: No dig gardening Composting Soil management Wildlife gardening Fruit and vegetable growing, including perennial veg Seed saving We also offer exclusive behind the scene tours of our Heritage Seed Library growing space - a must see!
