About

If you have visited for food, this page is just for Night Life so please go to The Golden Cross to leave a review :) Come and visit the oldest pub in Coventry, built c.1583 and a pub from c.1661. The interior features exposed oak beams, and was said to have been restored with timber from St Michael's bell tower, when the pub was restored in the nineteenth century. The exterior is in the typical Tudor style in black and white, with jettied upper floors. The pub also features a dragon beam, which is a large piece of timber, which enabled the jettied upper floor to pass around a corner. The pub sits close to the old cathedral that was bombed in the war, and amazingly remained unscathed in the attacks! So come visit and little piece of Coventry's history that has remained on the same spot for over 400 years!
