White Peak Distillery is Derbyshire’s first full‑scale, craft distillery, set in the historic former Johnson & Nebw Wire Works on the banks of the River Derwent in the UNESCO World Heritage Derwent Valley. The distillery produces award‑winning Wire Works Whisky, Shining Cliff Gin, and White Peak Rum, all crafted with a focus on flavour and local provenance. Visitors can explore the 18th‑century still house, the warehouse and the tasting cellar on a 60‑minute guided tour, tasting a range of spirits, and ending with a bespoke tasting glass to take home. The distillery is open to the public Tue‑Sat 10 am‑6 pm and offers a dynamic visitor experience that blends heritage, craft, and hospitality.
