16th Dec - 20th Dec 2024 - Closed for Christmas Break Tara International Kadampa Retreat Centre (Tara IKRC) Is a buddhist centre established over 25 years ago on the grounds of Ashe Hall in Etwall near Derby. Our locally famous World Peace Cafe offers lunch, snacks and a variety of hot and cold drinks. Our Gift Shop offers Buddhist books, ritual items and meditation accessories as well locally made gifts, soaps, Jewellery, Stationery and much more. Come and take a look around! 38 acres of grounds house over 40 of the oldest Sequoia trees in the UK. Offering serene woodland walks with Etwall River passing through as well as beautiful open spaces with over 2000 trees and open grassland for dog walkers and nature lovers. A community of practicing buddhists, both lay and ordained, live and work within the community to provide Buddhist Meditation classes for the people of the local area as well as offering meditation retreat opportunities for our global Kadampa community.
